Hello people how are you?

I do not know if that is possible so I ask you.

The easylink functions provide a set of functions that are very easy -no pun intended- to understand. Transmit, receive frames with clear payload, etc, etc,...

The 802.15.4 stack is more complex and it does not provide this set of functions. Here is my doubt, is it possible to use the easylink function with the 802.15.4 stack modulation, channels and frequency.

Or... is there a way -or an example- to send one single packet or simply receive packets and nothing else...with any handshake etc etc...

As you can observe, I try to customize the PHY layer to be the 802.15.4... I keep testing different configurations in order to see if the smartRF packet sniffer is able to understand and capture 802.15.4-like packets. Right now I am not able to transmit packets that are identified as TI 15.4 stack... Could it be the modulation?

Hi carles,

15.4-Stack requires an association process before communicating, please refer to the 15.4-Stack User's Guide and Project Zero SLA. As far as I am aware, EasyLink only supports the Proprietary PHYs so you will need to use a Custom RF TI Driver solution to enable the IEEE 802.15.4 PHY. It may be possible to import SmartRF Studio settings but I haven't personally tested this.

There is no way to create IEEE_802.15.4_PHY-alike packets with the smartRF studio and the propietary RF? As you can see the frequency ranges are the same, the preamble can be fit to be the same, the syncronization can be the same, is it impossible to do it?

The only difference is the modulation...

All the parameters are inside .syscfg...
