Hi,

I'm facing a problem while flashing the code to the board. It shows some errors below as shown

ERROR

"IcePick_C: Error connecting to the target: (Error -242 @ 0x0) A router subpath could not be accessed. The board configuration file is probably incorrect. (Emulation package 6.0.407.3)"

Hi Chethan,

How does your target configuration for the device look, are you using an existing project which you are trying to flash to an device?
Have you tried re-powering the device and restarting the IDE?

- Is this a custom board or a TI evaluation board?
- Which XDS110 do you use?
- How do you connect the XDS110 with the board (provide picture)

This a typical error message if you have not connected the jtag correctly or the jtag is locked.

Hi,

1. I'm using a custom board but before I'm flashing the code without error.

2. XDC110 USB debug probe default

3. I checked the JTAG connection is fine.

but still, I'm getting an error

Error connecting to the target:

(Error -242 @ 0x0)

The board configuration file is probably incorrect.

Do you get this issue regardless on how you try to connect (program used). Have you tried with SmartRF Studio/ flash programmer 2?

yes i used flash programmer their also not flashing the code.

how to resolve this problem ?

ERROR:-

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

The value is '-242' (0xffffff0e).
The title is 'SC_ERR_ROUTER_ACCESS_SUBPATH'.

The explanation is:
A router subpath could not be accessed.
The board configuration file is probably incorrect.

In you project, open the "targetConfigs" folder and open up the CC2640.ccxml file (the .ccxml file is the board configuration file). What board is selected in the board or device list?

If you go to the advanced view and check the "* USB Debug Probe", what is "Debug Probe Selection" set to?

Hi,

I tried the same project to build and run to TI launch pad the code is flashing fine but

for our customized launch pad flashing is not happening.

I'm getting the error is as shown in the image

This is usually caused by bad debugger pin connection so I suggest you to check connection first on your custom board.

You wrote "I checked the JTAG connection is fine" but how did you do this? Errors like this is most of the time caused by the connection between the XDS110 and the jtag on the chip including the cable, how this is wired, your custom board etc.

Sorry, till 2 days back with the same connection I worked fine. But after that, it showing the above-mentioned error.

Did you/ could you have changed the CCFG section of the chip last time you successfully managed to flash the device meaning that you could have locked the jtag interface?

Do you give power from CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER? If yes, try to power your custom board using external power supply. By the way, if you test it with another custom board, does it work?

1. I have not changed any CCFG file.

2. Other custom boards also showing the same error

And I test the target connection then it showing,

1. Do you try to give power to your custom board by external power supply?
2. Do you have another CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER to replace current one to test again?

1. yes I gave the power by external USB cable.
2. and yes i have another debugger, from that also I had tried the same problem happening.

According to your previous picture, I see you give power from CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER.

after that, I gave directly to my custom board also and I checked the pin voltage it's giving 3.3 v approximately.

Hi,

Now i gave the power supply for both debugger and my controller board now flashing the code is happening for only the app, not for the stack.

I'm getting the error like,

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -151 @ 0x0)
One of the FTDI driver functions used during the connect
returned bad status or an error. The cause may be one or
more of: no XDS100 is plugged in, invalid XDS100 serial number,
blank XDS100 EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable.
Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif'
folder to verify the XDS100 can be located.
(Emulation package 6.0.407.3)

So what you are saying is that the XDS110 errors are dependent on the software you are trying to flash?

Does this error only happen with only one image? How many different images have you tried to flash?
