I just recently bought a sensor tag and i can't get the motion data sensor working. This seems to be a common problem. I read all the replies on this post :

e2e.ti.com/.../419328

as well as the posts that it linked to, and it seems like this is a common problem. At first I couldnt even get the sensor to display any data. I updated the firmware and then it would display data for all of about 5 seconds before it just stopped. If any one could please help me figure out what is wrong with this tag I'd greatly appreciate it.

In case this is helpful to anyone:

Phone: Android HTC one M8

Firmware revision: 1.12

Hardware revision: PCB 1.2/1.3

I have the same problem. Purchased 10 modules with 1.12 firmware. Motion does not work.
Also downloaded and built the latest BLE-Stack . Same problem. Motion does not work.

Hello,

I suggest moving to BLE stack v2.1 (available on our website). Inside the stack release there is a hex file for the sensortag that has fixed the movement issue. You can use the SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 to flash the hex file to the device. I have tested this as of today (9/1/2015) and it is working with the SensorTag app
