Device Association Problem

By using ZTool, you only connect your CC2530 ZNP to your PC COM port. You would need a serial-to-USB cable like like FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 to connect your CC2530ZNP to PC.

I have already tried this. It doen't work, my Z-Tool says No Device found everytime.

Have Checked Communication setting, Baud Rate,etc.

Just test again with Z-Stack Home 1.2.1.

1. Download C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.1\Projects\zstack\ZAP\ZNP-HexFiles\CC2531ZNP-Pro-Secure_LinkKeyJoin.hex to my CC2531EMK.

2. Open Ztool version 2.0.6 and select correct COM port with 115200 as baudrate and enable RTS/CTS.

everything works.

Follow the steps in http://sunmaysky.blogspot.tw/2015/10/setup-zigbee-ha-coordinator-with-ti.html and see if device can join your CC2530 ZNP.

I tested CC2530EMK using Z-Tool. The response here is not consistent, sometime device joins the network but does not show up on Z-Tool whereas sometimes it does show.

I have used CC2530EMK on both side's (i.e. as ZNP and Samplelight).

I have attached screenshot's and packet sniffer file of the analysis.

There is a little confusion for above problem. I will try to explain everything again.

Here we are using Z-Stack Linux Gateway on BBB with ZNP on CC2530+CC2592. There are Samplelight Router devices with CC2530+CC2592 (with HAL_PA_LNA_CC2592 defined).

Now the problem is regadring devices joining the network through mesh network topology.

So when I do permit join on Z-Stack Linux Gateway, a permit join command is sent through zigbee which i checked though paket sniffer.

Now when Samplelight Device 1 join's the network it is in direct range of ZNP so it it gets added to the network.

Now consider Samplelight Device 2 which is not in direct range of ZNP but is in range through Samplelight Device 1 (i.e. through Meh Network), so when I do permit join to add Samplelight Device 2 in the same network as Samplelight Device 1 and ZNP, the Samplelight Device 2 is able to find Samplelight Device 1 and it gets assocaited to it but is removed by Sampleligt Device 1  after sometime which in turn causes the Samplelight Device 2 to restart the network search and this continues.

But as soon as I get Samplelight Device 2 in range of ZNP it gets added to the network.

So to test it further I tried using ZNP on CC2531 (i.e. CC2531 dongle), while using CC2531 dongle I saw that Samplelight Device 2 was able to join the network through Samplelight Device 1.

Because of this observation I think that the problem was with ZNP on CC2530+CC2592.

Please find attached the Sniffer file of Devices joining the network using CC2530 ZNP and CC2531 ZNP.

1) In CC2531 ZNP you can see in packet no 1054 onwards that Samplelight with IEEE address 00:12:4b:00:01:64:e3:0f  has joined the network through Samplelight with IEEE address 00:12:4b:00:01:c3:19:99 which is already in the network (i.e. Mesh Network).

2) In CC2530 ZNP you can see that Samplelight with IEEE address 00:12:4b:00:01:64:e3:0f is trying to join the network through Samplelight with IEEE address 00:12:4b:00:03:e9:b0:53 but the Samplelight with IEEE 00:12:4b:00:03:e9:b0:53 address removes the device from the network because it wasn't able to update the new Samplelight on ZNP.

When I check your CC2530ZNP sniffer log, I see "Update device" in packet number 14 and I suspect that you don't erase the flash correctly. How do you erase flash?
