hello everybody

I want to encode with h264 on dm6467 an input video witch captured with a webcam.

is it possible ??

If not tell me please the reason

I can’t find any information in the web

if you have some documents about the structure of the output data of the webcam or a tutorial which covers this subject please send it to me I really need it. in fact I am in the phase of research and I chose as development board the DVPB-HD based on the DM6467.

Hi Anis,

TI offers an EVM for most of our platforms; for DM6467, this EVM is available here: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdsevm6467.html. This is the EVM the software provided by TI supports and thus the software we are more familiar with to offer our customers support with. If you were using this EVM, you have two options: 1) build your own daughter card with webcam to interface to DC_P2 connector on EVM or 2) use off the shelf USB Webcam (easier approach) such as the one suggested in the following wiki article: http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php/USB_Webcam

With regards to the DVPB-HD evm you referred to above, this appears to be made by eInfochips (one of our third parties): http://focus.ti.com/dsp/docs/thirdparty/catalog/devtoolsproductfolder.tsp?actionPerformed=productFolder&productId=3777. Therefore, they are the best equipped to help you with solutions based on that particular EVM. It does appear to have a USB port, so you may still use off the shelf USB webcam, but if you encouter any issues with the USB driver, you will need to work thru them as they develop the software for that particular board.
