I need to interface to an LCD that has an LVDS interface, please adivse th proper family of devices to make this transition from the LCD controller output on the AM3359 to an LVDS based TFT. Thank you.

Paul,
Sorry for the late response to this posting but I didn't see it.
anyhow, this is pretty simple. Check out the following Wiki page...

Hello Steve,
is there a chance to interface a dual channel display (1280 x 1024, 72 MHz)?
Kind regards
Stephan
Stephan,
If the LCD uses dual stream LVDS then you will need to use a dual stream LVDS transmitter such as the CH7305, CH7003, IDTV105A or EP387A, but the connectivity is almost the same.
Is the LCD really dual stream LVDS? Panels don't usually switch to dual LVDS until higher pixel clock requirements?
BR,
Steve
Hello Steve,
thanks for your quick response!
Yes, it really is dual channel(AUO G151). 72MHz does not seem too high clock to me.
I am not sure wether these dual channel LVDS transmitters support taking the even and odd pixel data from the same digital line. Are there experiences with such a setup?
Kind regaards
Stephan
These dual stream LVDS transmitters specifically DO support single in to dual out :)
Can you share the LCD datasheet with me?

Steve

But they also do have seperate input pins for odd and even pixels, as far as I've seen.
No problem since google finds it in the net...Can you share the LCD datasheet with me?

Stephan,
The LVDS transmitters are multi-mode so support many different input configurations.

Steve
Thanx, Steve.
In the meantime I found it in the manuals. I am about to give the EP387A a try.
If I succeed or get into trouble I'll post here again.
