how to serial debug (no JTAG) beaglbone black A5B in CSS v5.4 ?

Hallo

I tried  over the last week to programm the sample code : gpioLEDBlink on the beaglebone black A5B. I used the follwing hardware 

But i ccouldn't transport any code to the beaglebone. So my question is : how to transport code to the beaglebone black using the serial debug header on it and a ft232R adapter ?
