Hi,

I am planning to develop a camera test PCB for testing e-CAM52_5640_MOD with CAM0 of AM437x EVM. Now I have few doubts on interfacing the camera with EVM,

Camera module have parallel data lines D[9:0] but CAM0 interface have D[9:0] only. Are we allowed to ignore those two bits D[1:0]?
I am planning to choose BT.656 (8 bit) mode. Is my understanding right?
Is there any difference between BT656 and CCIR656 modes?
Power supply is not provided for AF motor. Am I allowed to use V2.8D for camera module AF?
Strobe signal is coming from camera module, there is no such signal available in EVM connector.

Hi,

This would depend on whether your camera module supports BT.656 and on which 8 bits it comes out.

See sections 14.3.1.3 and 14.3.1.4 of the AM437X TRM Rev. A.
This supply is provided from a 200mA LDO on the EVM main board. It's dedicated only for the camera interface.
See 1. BT.656 does not use an additional strobe signal. It uses only 8 or 10 bits of data and a pixel clock.
