Diode cathode is connected to GND inside the device as follows.

Please advise if TMP411 can measure temperature.

Thanks for providing a picture, it helped us easily understand your question.

Yes, TMP411 will work when if the internal diode is designed such that Diode Cathode is grounded. If the the customer has a choice please advise him to not ground the cathode, otherwise there nothing to worry.

Please explain the reason why you recommend not to ground the cathode.

Are there any concern for example degrade the accuracy etc… ?
