Hello

I have a TMS320DM8148 on a TMDXEVM8148BTA Evaluation Board and using a LAN560 JTAG Emulator to connect to the processors via the 20Pin JTAG Port. Sadly the profiling does not seam to be working with this setup.

So, I tried to use the simulator for the profiling but that just doesn't do anything. When I start the simulation it counts up the CPU Clocks but it always points to the same Address in the Memory and therefor always executes the same Command over and over again (which does not make any sense...):

83607018: 05140FD8 OR.L1 0,A5,A10

Does anyone know this error or knows how to solve it?

So far I found that it stops here:

I think the my program is waiting on a timer to initialize. Which probably never happens because I read that the simulation does not include periphery... What can I do?

I just want to see the profile of my Program so I know where to optimize... any suggestions?

If your application does not use Task_sleep() or wait on timeouts (Semphore_pend()), then you should be able to disable the SYS/BIOS Clock module by adding the following to your app.cfg file to work around the timer problem on the simulator.

Clock.tickSource = Clock.TickSource_NULL;
