A query from a customer on C667x

Does TI support the H.264 encoder software on c667x?

How many channels can c6678 handle H.264 1080p60 encoding?

Mukul,

- H.264 BP Encoder is supported on C667x.

- Encoder development is complete and profiling is in progress. We expect to run 2 channels at 1080p30 and 1 channel at 1080p60.

Please confirm if this performance is for the c6671 (single core at 1.25GHz) or for the C6678 (8 cores each run at 1.25GHz?

The performance is for C6678 (8 cores each running at 1.25 GHz). We expect that it takes 4 cores to do a single H.264 BP encode of 1080p30.
