Is C6671, C6672, C6674, C6678 compatible with one another, except the number of cores used? By that, I mean pin-to-pin compatbility, code compatibility.
Why is C6670 so different from C6671, 2, 4 and 8 in the block diagrams?

Just to be clear.
The C6671,72,74,78 family of devices are pin for pin compatible with the same complement of peripherals. The C6670 is not pin compatible and while they share many of the same peripherals, The C6670 has many that the C6671,72,74,78 family do not, and the C6671,72, 74, 78 have some peripherals that they C6670 does not.
