About DM8127 JPEG performace!

Hi all,

          we want to evaluate the Jpeg performace of DM8127.  From the document of MJPEG_Encoder_HDVICP2_Datasheet, we only see the following table.

 

We also see the the HD-VICP V2.1 of DM8127 

HD-VICP v2.1
    – Up to H.264 1080p @ 60fps + D1 @30fps video processing
               – 1080p30 + D1 30fps (A8 600MHz)
               – 1080p at 66fps (A8 720MHz)
               – 1080p at 70fps or 1080p30+D1 30fps (A8 1GHz)
               – Noise filter ON on all use cases
               – Flexibility / multi-streaming
               – Hi Megapixel @ 120Mp/s
               – 10Mp @12fps / 12Mp @ 10 fps
               – Multiple video codec capable: MJPEG,   MPEG4, MPEG2, VC1 & others

 If we only use DM8127 to encode JPEG(5M Pixel), what's the FPS?

    Hi,

    All the performance numbers quoted are for 30fps for various resolutions.

    For 5MP@30fps,

    Configuration #1  takes  240 MHz of HDVICP2 and  Configuration#2 takes  574MHz of HDVICP2.

    In DM812x HDVICP2 can be clocked as high as 500MHz.
