Regarding Two DEI Components in DM8148

Hi Vimal,

I am working on DM8148EVM .I am using EZSDK 5_03_01_15 .I have got a few questions regarding creating two DEI component instances .

1 . Can I create two DEI component instances in DM8148 ?

2. Can I connect output of one DEI component to the input of another DEI Component ?

3. In the omx_vfpc.h ,there are two DEI components OMX.TI.VPSSM3.VFPC.DEIMDUALOUT(DEI-M) and OMX.TI.VPSSM3.VFPC.DEIHDUALOUT (DEI-H)

Can i Connect DEI-M to DEI-H on DM8148 without any problem ?

4. If i create two DEI-M component instances on DM8148 and connect the output of one DEI component to another ,will there be a performance issue ?since one DEI hardware block has to manage two DEI-M componenet instances and process the data serially .

Can you please help me out in the understanding the above problem clearly .any help is appreciated .

I have connected two DEI in concatenation, DEIM and DEIH worked OK, two DEIM also worked OK, two DEIH stuck. TI claim that it should work also.

Thanks for your reply . I have gone through the post and its really helpful .did you work on DM8148 or DM8168 platform?

Can I connect two DEI-H components on DM8148 ?i have connected two DEI-M components and its working without any problem .

In your post ,Vimal says two DEI-H component instances should work on DM8168 ,so is that possible on DM8148 ?Does the DM8148 support two DEI-H instances ?

I am working with TI8168 platform, despite what Vimal said i couldn't get 2 DEIH work together in my platform, i don't know about DM8148, you can try and see if it works for you.
