DM8148 EZSDK ISS package

Dear all,

My company had purchased the Mistral TMDXEVM8148 evaluation kit and intended to connect an OmniVision camera to the parallel camera port available on the evaluation board.

Understood from some of the discussion threads that an ISS package is needed in the EZSDK in order to use the video capture through the parallel camera port (CPI).

And this package is not within the standard TI EZSDK package that is downloaded from TI website or available on the SD card provided by the Mistral evaluation kit.

Please advise if my understanding is correct and if yes, please help to provide or direct me to the relevant party or links to get this resource.

Hello May,

That is correct; it is not included in the standard EZSDK package. You should discuss this with your local representative (field engineer).

Hi,

I am interested on this ISS package too, is this some kind of EZSDK overlay that can be added and then get access to the ISS API? If so, which is the name? I need it to give it to the FAE, we already have the NDA in place with you guys.

Hi,

RidgeRun was able to integrate the ISS driver into the M3 binaries used on the EZSDK so you can use it from V4L2 and then from gstreamer, you can read more information about it here:
