Opencv 2.4 on DM8148 DSP Help!

Arshan Awais

I have an IP network camera having DM8148 Davinci processor. Linux is running on ARM core. Now i have to use some OpenCV 2.4 functions on DSP while rest of the application should run on ARM core. Kindly provide me some references along with examples as i could not find elsewhere. I cant use C6accel because it uses some functions of OpenCV 1.x.

Yes...and i m using the pre-built Linux kernel and UBIFS filesystem provided in this release.

OpenCV is NOT offered/integrated along with IPNC RDK release. But OpenCV has been ported to DSP and is available as a standalone library. Or you can use C6EZAccel even.

In either case, you might need to do the add these libraries on DSP side and integrate into IPNC RDK.

Entire task is a mini-project by itself. Keep your achievements posted in this regard.

Hello,

The instructions to build ARM OpenCV libraries is mentioned here. You need to install all the OpenCV shared libraries in your target filesystem under /usr/lib

The C6Accel package contains a sample OpenCV application that compares the performance of about 48 OpenCV function on ARM and on DSP.
