DM8148 EVM with audio output over S/PDIF

The weblink you have mentioned talks about recording multichannel audio. Our requirement is to playback multi channel audio file over S/PDIF port.

Would it be possible to out put multichannel audio over S/PDIF by following the weblink?

As I understand, if I enable S/PDIF by having kernel support I should see two audio devices in 'aplay -l' command (pcm audio/ SPDIF audio port). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you can use "aplay".

But particularly for the S/PDIF, although supported by the hardware, I cannot find kernel driver (for S/PDIF) in EZSDK. Can you? I will try to ask about that, what is the status, and I will try to let you know, but this could take some time, I am sorry.

It seems in EZSDK_5_5_2_0, there is no documentation for S/PDIF kernel driver.
