  • Bob,

Do you have USB1 port on your custom board?

This one is known issue for DM811x device:

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI811X_PSP_04.07.00.01_rc1_Release_Notes#TI811X_2

Why do i contineously get error message "hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 1"?

This error message will be seen if the daughter board is not connected with the J5Eco EVM. In this absence of
daughter board the USB1 port is hanging this produces the above error. In case you do not want to use
daughter card you can disable the USB1 port by applying the patch provided in PSP release notes documents.

TI811X: There is continuous overcurrent message on console from USB1 port when kernel loaded in usb host mode on TI811X EVM

Known issue: Always connect the daughter board to use USB1 port other wise to disable the USB1 port use steps in this patch. Note that this patch will not apply directly, edit the specific changes manually as mentioned in the patch.

    http://arago-project.org/git/projects/?p=linux-omap3.git;a=commit;h=456b576bea9e5aab47d263c794f19cac977694f4

Thus I suspect that something is wrong with your USB1 port.

    Pavel
