HI,I know DM8168 today.

I just have the EVM 8168 board and download the ezsdk_dm816x-evm_5_03_01_15_setuplinux that is installed.

but I don't know How to continue.

I want to Capture video from HDMI and desplay video in TV.

How can I to do?

please anyone TI's answer me.

Hi,

Do you have any daughter card or just the base EVM. on Base EVM you can not have HDMI capture. It has only HDMI disply or component display.

Hi,

Daughter card is a another board on top of EVM. This card is specifically designed for different use cases and is called IO expansion card. Capture is possible only with daughter card. Its not possible without daughter card. So you need to connect daughter card on top of EVM to enable capture through DM816x.

My EVM board have TVP 7002 , sil1161,sil9022, and TVP5147.

it seem to be can HDMI capture in silXXXX?

Ok,

Than you have IO expansion card. With IO expansion card We dont support HDMI capture. SIL1161 is a DVI capture. Please contact your local FAE to get Video Conferencing daughter card. This card supports HDMI capture.

My EVM is two layer.

second layer is daughter card.

now, how it can HDMI capture?

it have sil1161 and sil9022.

As Hardik answered, with EIO card we do not support HDMI capture. It is supported on VC daughter card though. on EIO card it requires drivers to configure I2C bus etc, which we do not suport.

Hi,

HDMI input is not supported on Catalog board. Catalog board is having DVI receivers that is SII1161. We dont have driver for that as of now.

hi, I've got the same 8168 evm + EIO card just like the above, and don't know how to capture and encord video to a 264 file,

my question is:

1. when caputring, which input interface should be used, do i have to setup it with an command, or just auto detect ?

2. which app should be run, with any parameters ?

3. it there any manuals about how to caputure ?

Hi,

We support capture using TVP7002 decoder which takes component in. Those are J5, J6 and J7 connectors on IO expansion card. Please refer to EZSDK userguide for more details.

Hi,

Yes, we did connected DV cables to J5, J6, J7 connectors on IO expansion card, and use omtb_dm81xxbm_a8host.xv5T or capture_encode_a8host_debug.xv5T for testing, but it captured nothing. Is there any configuration we should take before executing the example? Would you be kind to list the steps how the capture_encode example work ? Thank you very much!

Did you mean if we want HDMI input in 8168 base board and VC daughtor card, we need to use EZSDK instead of DVRRDK?
