uboot splash screen for DM816X for SD/Dvo2

Hello,

After reading a lot of forum posts, it seems that there is support for uboot logo display on SD/DV02/HDMI/DVI for DM816X . However, i was unable to find the code changes required to do so.

I tried the code changes listed here http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/717/t/220648.aspx but haven't been successful with that.

currently using PSP04.04.00.01

Any information in getting boot logo for the various display types enabled would be appreciated.

Here are instruction to change the boot logo when booting from an SD card and using a tftp server.

I have the same issue: need U-boot to show Logo on DVO2 port.

The link Michael pointed out are only generic to show Logo on HDMI port, which the stock TI U-boot supports. Can you please point out code changes necessary for U-boot to show Logo on DVO2 port?

The following post contains instructions to to modify uboot in order to display the boot logo on the DVO2 port. Note this feature is not officially supported by the EZSDK.

Hey Mike,

Thank you for the link, I had already tried the changes suggested. The details in the link are for the 814x platform, i was looking for instructions for the 816x platform.

In the code changes mentioned in the link, it lists instructions to enable clk out for SD display and register settings to enable the various display types. There is no similar code in the ti816x_logo file.
