Do you have any plans to make the development board with TMS320C6A816x and reduced set of periferials (i.e. "Experimenter kit" maybe similar with Beagleboard or Pandaboard)?

This is very welcome news!
Are you please able to comment on whether design of the PCB has involved consideration of standard *TX form factor layouts? Both the BeagleBoard and PandaBoard are great products but their incorporation within consumer devices is somewhat hampered by non-standard dimensions and connector positions. A standard layout would allow boards to be included in standard chassis.
On a related issue, I understand that the DIMMs decision has already been explained.
Thanks for your time.

Trevor,
We are considering using a standard form factor and have this in the requirements for the board. How the connectors on the back of the board are brought out may be a little interesting and may require making a custom back plate (or leaving the back plate off). I can't give you any specifics on this yet because we have layed the board out.

Thanks very much for updating this post so promptly in answer to my questions. I'm awaiting with interest further announcements on this, especially price and UK availability. Thanks.
Alex,
We are shooting for mini-ITX for factor. The PCIe on the board will be a standard PCIe slot to allow plugging in PCIe cards. This is different from the DM6467 which was able to plug into a PCI slot and act as a PCI device.

Michael,
We are planning a low cost board, targeting 3Q11 availability.

Alex,
If your asking about a C66x low cost board, please post your question to this forum.

For the the DM816x/C6A816x low cost board, we have change plans and cancelled that development within TI.
Later next year, there may be Third parties with lower cost modules; but I do not have any further info at this time.
