Hi everyone !

I am using C6748LCDK

Can I use SPI0 following the pins: SIMO,SOMI,CLK and SCSn_4 (chip selection) ?.

I doubt that SCSn_4 is used for UART0_TX.

From my understanding the usage of SPI0 pins as follows. I am referring to Ver. A6

SPI0_CLK/EPWM0_A/MII_RXCLK - SPIO_CLK (J15)

SPI0_SOMI/EPWM0_SYNCI/MII_RXERR - SPIO_SOMI (J15)

SPI0_SIMO/EPWM0_SYNCO/MII_CRS - SPIO_SIMO (J15)

SPI0_ENAn/EPWM0_B/MII_RXDV - SPIO_ENAn (J15)

SPI0_SCSn_4/UART0_TXD/MII_RXD2 - UART0_TX (J15)

SPI0_SCSn_5/UART0_RXD/MII_RXD3 - UART0_RX (J15)

thank for your answer, but Can SPI0_SCSn_4/UART0_TXD/MII_RXD2 - UART0_TX (J15) use as chip selection for SPI0 ?

Hi Trinh,

Yes. You shall use SPI0_SCSn_4/UART0_TXD/MII_RXD2 as chip select.

Please make sure PIN MUX settings are correct to enable the required SPI0 pins.

The SPI0 pins are not connected to J15 because the resistors for connection are not populated. The Ethernet chip used those pins. You will need to make some HW changes and maybe power down the Ethernet chip. A discussion here:
