Hello,
we use the evaluation board DRV8313EVM.
The aim is to operate 3 resonance circuits with three different sine frequencies.
The effective current is around 300mA. After a few minutes, the chip is destroyed with a loud bang.
The housing now has a hole between pin 5 and pin 6.
We checked the test setup and couldn't find any errors. We then exchanged the evaluation board. After a while the chip burned through in the same way at the same place.
Up to this point, the circuit had worked as desired and was not getting hot.
We have operated the circuit as in data sheet Figure 17.
Do you have any idea where the error could come from?
Thanks in advance
Frank,
I am not sure what may have happened here. Can you provide some screenshots of the OUT pins when the application is running?
Regards,
-Adam
Hi Adam,
We don't use the application. We removed the 9 jumpers and use 3 funktion generators which generate the pwm signal for the DRV8313.
Frank
Frank,
What I mean is, can you show us scope images of the DRV8313 output when the system is operating (switching)?
