AM335x Power Consumption Spreadsheet?

Hello

This wiki page has details about "AM335x Power Consumption for different use cases"

but I couldn't find the "Power Estimation Spreadsheet".

Could you please tell me where can I download the Spreadsheet?

Regards.

Ayus

  • Hello,

The power estimation tool (PET) is under development right now and is expected to be available mid December. It will be available at www.ti.com/pet once it's released.

  • Hi,

    Thank you!

If possible could you please let us know if there is any Beta version.

If not  we shall wait for the final version.

    Regards.

    Ayus.

  • Hello,

The tool under development is running in internal server and hasn't been released to external server yet.  Please wait until it's available at www.ti.com/pet.

  • Hello,

Please let me know when will be the power estimation tool (PET) available?

    Regards.

  • Any updates? release schedule?

  • Unfortunately there is a delay in validating power estimates by the tool and correlating it with measured power.  The current release date is now set to mid Feb.

  • Hello,

Any updates on the release date?

Our customer are in a need for the estimation tool (PET) ASAP in order to decide to use AM335x.

Please let us know about the schedule.

    Regards.

  • Hi all,

Is there any forecast when the PET will be available for AM335X ?

We have been considering the worst cases from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_Power_Consumption_Summary.

But we are concerned whether the worst case mentioned in this page (Android DevKit : MPEG-4 AV playback - taking 713mW in total) is good a reference for our application (automation controller).

For instance: is there any measure of the consumptions in each voltage considering the CPU at 80% of its DMIPs capacity (OPP100).

This is vital for the design of power part.

    Thanks a lot,

    Rodrigo

  • The reason VDD_CORE of OPP100 will become larger than the power consumption of OPP120 or Turbo if AM335 x Power Estimation Tool (Step2) is performed using the following advance sheets?
(It is the same parameter except opp)

  • Rodrigo,

The updated PET (supporting revision "B") will be available this week. In fact it was sent to our internet marketing team to make it available in the web, so perhaps later today it will be available for downloading.
