Hi,
We have prototypes built based on the XAM3359ZCZ and we have problem booting our boards.
Full part number displayed on the device is,
XAM3359ZCZ
IBA0L3W GI
962 ZCZ
When the device is JTAGed the program is placed in an uexpected memory location
My customer has successfully booted the AM3359ZCZ on beaglebones and the CONTROL_MODULE control_status Register (0x44e10040) reads 0x00400317. but how ever on the prototype boards the CONTROL_MODULE control_status Register (0x44e10040) reads 0x00400017.
we note that according to the datasheet bits 8-10 of this register are read only and represent the ‘Device Type’, on the Beaglebone these are set to 011 which according to the datasheet indicates a ‘General Purpose (GP) Device’ whilst on our prototype boards these bits are set to 000 which is a ‘Reserved’ value.
- Can you please advise why the two devices are different, differernt device types?
- What are the differences between these two devices?
- And if the problem that we're having is due to these devices being different how can we solve this problem?
Looking forward to hearing from you
