Hello

I am new to C55xx processor and would like try 24bit audio processing using the C5535 eZdsp kit. The onboard AIC will not be used instead the I2S data will be passed to a DAC board. With all the USB DACs out there which process only upto 16bit/48Khz audio this experiment would be worthy enough to build a USB to I2S converter which can provide upto 24bit / 192Khz.

Has anyone tried this before. I have worked on the TMS320C25, C30 and C40 processors in the past extensively but not on any of the newer ones.

Hi Subbu,

24-bit samples at 96ksps is a roadmap feature that will be supported at a later date. I believe modification to the ASRC algorithm would be required to support 24-bit samples. It may scale to 192KHz - I'll check with the software experts.
