Problems with Flashburn?

Hi,

    I am currently working on DSK6416 for my 'Face Recognition' project. I am able to load my code into the L2RAM for debugging purpose. But i am not able to write the code onto the flash. I have both the versions of Flashburn but none of them works. The DSK gets connected and the FTBC also gets downloaded but when I start writing nothing happens. Also it takes ages to erase the flash and still the whole flash does not get erased. I am following the procedure described in Falshburn help.

Can anyone help me out?

    Please go to the TI Wiki Pages and use the Google Custom Search (search box in the middle of the screen, not the upper right) for "C6000 Training" (no quotes). Choose the Category listing to find a variety of training courses for C6000 products. The one with C6x1x in the name is an archived copy of a previous generation of the C6000 Live Training classes, and it is built around the C6416T DSK. It includes a section on Flashburn that runs on the C6416T DSK. If yours is not the T version, I believe it will still work for you.

    Hi Randy,

                    I also downloaded the TI University Program for c6000 but it had nothing about flashburn and EMIF. Right now we are implementing simple addition code onto the dsp. But we are not able to flash the code. The DSK we are using was purchased in 2003, so there any need to update the system or something. 

    Regarding the flashburn, i also contacted some vendors but they were not able to solve the problem.

    I do not know what you are talking about in terms of the "TI University Program for C6000" with respect to training for this board. 

    Please see my post above and follow those instructions. If you are unable to follow those instructions, please let me know what is unclear so I can improve them.

    Hi Randy,

                     Can you suggest me some more softwares to burn the FLASH? Both the FLASHBURN version that I have are not working.

    I am confused. You have marked this thread as Verified Answered, which means you are satisfied and this thread is done.

    If that is not the case, please Reject that answer and continue with your questions.

    The information in the labs and Student Guide for the training class have been used successfully in the past. You may need to go over that material again since it is the best available for your board.

    Were you able to get the Flashburn lab to work from the training course that you searched?

    Hi Randy,

                     I got a demo program from Flash Burn site. I tried to burn that program but was unsuccessful. I was able to download the FTBC but was not able to burn the HEX file.

    Kindly help me with this
