I do not see capabilities like RTDX(where I can inject data in for processing and extract the output) in the the Multicore System Analyzer. Also the Multicore System Analyzer is not available for C55x. Or am I wrong?
Eruan,
Correct, the System Analyzer is focused on instrumentation and analysis of the running application. In the past, that was the primary use case of RTDX by DSP/BIOS. The generalized data transport mechanism that RTDX also provided is not available with System Analyzer, and I don’t know of any alternatives to recommend to you.
And right, there is no System Analyzer support on C55x.

Upgrading to Windows 7 forces me to upgrade to CCS 5. Keeping up with the newest version of a development environment is supposed to be common sense, right? But now I have no RTDX anymore? This seems to me to be rather a huge step backwards. What if all my recent developments under CCS 3.x were totally relying on RTDX in the development/debugging phase?
What else do I have to give up by moving to CCS 5 as compared to CCS 3.x? Is there a list somewhere which outlines all the great features of CCS 5 that I did not have in CCS 3.x. I do need motivation for upgrading ;-).
