Hi,

Is there a way to read "CPU Load" statistics from DSP-Code without connecting to CCS?

In other words is it possible to read "CPU Load Graph" information without connecting to CCS, from the target DSP code, directly?

For some versions of OMAP processors, i think DSP/BIOS APIs are provided to read CPU load (PWRM APIs in 3430).

Is this possible for all DSP processors, without such specific DSP/BIOS libraries?

Yes, I believe there are runtime APIs for retrieving the CPU load data from BIOS. Are you using BIOS 5 (DSP/BIOS) or BIOS 6 (SYS/BIOS)?

Hi,

Thanks for sharing this file. This does not look like a BIOS API. Instead it looks like a plugin for IDL function. Though this would help, i was interested in knowing if there was any direct DSP-BIOS API to return CPU load.

There is no built-in API for this in BIOS 5.x. BIOS 6.x has a Load module that was derived from this and another add-on called "THRLOAD".

Dear Karl,

Can you introduce a bit more details that how to use the attchment file you gave.

Such as in the load. h, you said "Add a IDL object to the BIOS configuration and set the function to ‘‘_LOAD_idlefxn’

What does that mean?
