What do you mean by AVD Control Set 1? Are you using the default filesystem that comes with the DVR Reference Design or have you done some modifications? The symptom shows up like the colors are getting saturated and going out of range. Do you see this in live preview only or the same thing is seen in encoded stream also?

the AVD Control Set 1is register name , it's I2C subaddress is B0h.

if value of B0h is 90h , then it's 2-ch D1

if value of B0h is A0h , then it's 4-ch D1

I can switch 2-ch and 4-ch by change it

Did you use the 4CH D1 mode that is available in DVR RDK itself? It has been tested to be working well. Let us know if 4D1 feature provided with DVR RDK itself, is also giving the same problem.

Sorry, i did not understand your answer. Can you please tell me that if you used 4CH D1 mode of DM368 DVR as released by TI/UDWorks, gave you the problem? Are you seeing this problem on all 4 channels or only on some channels?

I have check demo board of UDworks (RDK 2.0) . There is no 4CH-D1 function but it's has 4CH-CIF.

I will be to find out whether the reference design is support 4CH-D1

In the System Setup Menu --> System Type --> Type, if you set DVR, you don't see 4CH-D1 option in the RESOLUTION menu below?

Which DVR version are you using? DM365 or DM368?

I using DM365-DVR and reference design also come from it.
DM365-DVR doesn't support 4ch-D1.
But I have no DM368-DVR and its reference code.

So i porting the mcvip of UDwork2.1 to my system
I found only different two areas between my system and UDwork2.1
The difference as below:
                                                                             UDworks      Mine
Mode Setup (MODESET) Register-CCDMD                 FALSE       TRUE
CCD Configuration( CCDCFG) Register-YCINSWP     FALSE       TRUE

I have to modify two register above so that CCDC module can get image from 5158
I don't know whether these difference cause the inner difference between UDwork and mine.
The color distortion of image come from 5158 directly so i guess this problem has nothing to do with SOC.
I don't know whether DM365-DVR and DM368-DVR has different code.
I think i need to ask the FAE for something useful.

Hi,

I just rechecked the software release in DVR RDK package 2.1.

It has support for DM368 as well as DM365. Most likely, because you are using the DM365 based system, it might not be showing you the 4-D1 menu. There are two options now:

1. Use the uBoot of DM368 and try to program your DVR. This should make it run on DM368 clocks, assuming your board can run at those clocks.

2. Even though you dont run DM368 frequencies, you can still refer to the code.

Refer to the code which is inside if(pSetPrmInfo->startSysPrm.sysChipType == DAVINCI_DM368) and this should show you how we are using 4-CH D1 mode and you can enable it for DM365 also. The only difference is performance will be less.

The mcvip driver for TVP already supports 4CH - D1
