CCS/EVM430-F6736: Problems porting the Project to Code Composer Studio

I want to move the single Phase watt meter Project to Code Composer Studio. Now I Need help.

What does the "DEFL"-command mean? The file "emeter-toolkit.h" causes problems because of this line. What can I do so that this Project compiles in CCS? In IAR embedded workbench it compiles without problems. Help is very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Best regards

In this Image it is seen that the DEFL is defined some lines above in the file "emeter-toolkit.h". However, the @ is not something that is understood by all Compilers. And also the "__no_init" is probably something that can be understood by all compilers.

How can I get this to work. An example on how to rewrite these lines

#define DEFL(name, address) __no_init volatile unsigned long int name @ address;

and later the usage

DEFL( RES16_32 , RES16_32_)

to something that the Code Composer Studio Compiler can understand?

Sorry for the three posts, but I want to describe this as good as possible.

Hi Patrick,

Please download TIDM-THDREADING Firmware (Rev. B) at https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDM-THDREADING.

Once installed, you will see the differences for IAR & CCS in <INSTALL_DIR\Source\emeter-toolkit\include\> emeter-toolkit.h, IAR\extra_peripheral_definitions.h & CCS\extra_peripheral_definitions.h

I think DEFL is only used in IAR

IAR:

#define SD24BMEM0_32_ (0x0850u)
#if !defined(__IAR_SYSTEMS_ICC__)
DEFL( SD24BMEM0_32 , SD24BMEM0_32_)

will be handled differently as below in CCS:

SFR_32BIT(SD24BMEM0_32); /* SD24B 0 32 bit result */
