Will Tiva be porting to support mbed C++ framework

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C123GH6PM

Dear Tiva Team,

Will Tiva be porting to support ARM mbed C++ framework?

http://mbed.org/

If yes, do you have a release schedule?

Thank you very much!

Kevin

  • We have looked into the mbed platform and would like to increase our support for it over time.

We do not have a release schedule.

    Thank you

    Dexter

  • Dear Dexter,

Thank you very much for your answer.

I started to port Tiva LaunchPad TM4C123GH6PM to mbed platform few days ago, and now I can run some simple C++ program of mbed on Tiva LaunchPad.

I think I can finish 100% porting in end of September.

    :)

Thank you and have a nice weekend.

    Kevin

  • Kevin,

Your mbed port for TM4C123GH6PM is available in Github? Bitbucket?

    I'm want contribute if possible.

  • Hello Murilo,

My port of mbed for TM4C123GH6PM is done, and it is functional properly.

Sorry, I can't put my ported code to poblic, since I signed NDA with my employer.

    :)

Perhaps - but did not a major auto builder finish their "throttle management" software - and make similar, "functional performance claims?"    And did not a court recently rule that - under a certain combination of conditions - the software could be demonstrated to, "reliably/repeatedly" fail?  (and do so - in court - upon command!)

Your employer may wish to review any NDA policy which seems to prevent extended and (likely) deeper/wider analysis.  Suspect broad peer review can far better probe your code's "nooks/crannies" - and uncover functional improprieties - so often missed or accepted by a smaller (especially so the authoring) team's analysis...

  • Man that is just wrong. If you don't/cannot share it shouldn't be mentioned in a public forum.
  • You're right - but have you considered that poster may have been "overly enthusiastic" - and when the "light of day" (business reality) dawned - he was forced to renege.    (this would not be the first time such has occurred - and unlikely to be the last...)

You may note that I tried to highlight the benefits of "peer review" - to free poster's code for others' benefit/review - without success...

  • Ya you are right i feel sorry for my post now.
  • Please don't - we're all here to learn - exchange - your disappointment is surely valid.    (and - I bet - shared by that "would-be, helpful" poster...)
