Hi,
According to TDA4V TRM there is no software control to enable inject only mode for ECC. Is this correct? Can you give us more information how switch to this mode?
Best regards,
Nevena

Hi,
We want to inject ECC errors during initial phase at the startup, and after that we want to switch to normal mode.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. Still unclear which ECC you are using and purpose of injecting errors.
As an example, are you trying to confirm that the ECC checker is working for safety diagnosis? Or, are you trying to inject errors in the DRAM data space to see if they are corrected / reported?
Thanks,
Kevin
Hello Kevin,
Our goal is to implement safety mechanisms, which includes also monitoring SEC/DED errors on DRAM/SRAM. We want to periodically check if this error happened. In order to verify that mechanism is implemented correctly we want to inject errors into memory and see if they are corrected / reported?
Best Regards,
Stefan.
Hi,
If you need to inject errors into DDR memory, you would need to write know data (with ECC error) to DDR with the ECC functionality disabled. Then, enable the ECC functionality and read back the same data.

Kevin
