Hi Kaushik,
This definitely sounds like the capacitance is slightly off. It might be necessary to tweak the load capacitance slightly to find the optimal value.

Hi Kaushik,
I think this directly relates to the other query you have open, so I'll close this thread here and continue on the other thread to keep the discussion in one place.

Part Number: BQ4802Y Tool/software: Hello,
I have made a circuit with the BQ4902Y. I can not use any other IC for several reasons I that would be off topic here.
My circuit as such works. Meaning I have several IC on the bus. But I can not get any readings…
Part Number: BQ4802Y Tool/software: I'm searching for an example code for the BQ4802Y RTC with any processor that demonstrates how to initiate if the IC is fresh. But I can't find any codes related to BQ4802Y. If you know how to find any example code…
Part Number: BQ4802Y Tool/software: Hello,
I am using the BQ4802Y and have the 32768KHz quarz hooked up with no capacitors. It seems to work fine although I have not yet tested in the long run.The quarz is specified with a load capacitance of 12.5pF…
Part Number: BQ4802Y Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ32000 , BQ32002 , BQ4802LY I have a circuit exactly based on the PDF Datasheet on Page 1 HERE
The issue is that when I set the time, for example if I set it at 12:00:00 it will never cycle, never count…

Why the BQ4802Y Clock is not keep clocking when system power down ?
I have setted /STOP=1 in cotrol register E and use CR2302 Li Battery for Vbc. but the clock is not continue clock while system power down.
I've checked the BVF flag…
Part Number: BQ4802Y I've use BQ4802Y as system real time clock. VCC is 5VDC, VBC=3VDC Li Battery. I set the /STOP=1 in control register(E) and ABE=1 in Alarm enable register(C). I've checked that Control Register(E) content=06h, Flags Register(D) content…
Part Number: BQ4802Y Greetings
I need to implement a Real Time Clock in an Arduino UNO design and A Raspberry PI design.
Although the use is not the same in each, the general scenario is to just assign a Date / Time Stamp to a specific event.
The preferred…
