Part Number: LM5117 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV431 , TLV431 , LM76002 Hello,
I am attempting to design a 42V 2A CC/CV buck converter using the LM5117. I am performing CV regulation using an LMV431 and a 20V zener in series to reduce the voltage…
Part Number: LMV431A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV431 , TLVH431 , LMV431 We need the LMV431A's ESD CDM data, and have inquired it for about half a year,
but now we haven't received it,
please help to arrange someone to deal with this issue…
Hi Jeff,
Take a look at Figure 2 in app note snva829 that uses an LMV431 in the CV loop. The cap in the circuit above is likely causing excessive phase lag from a small-signal standpoint,

Hi Akhil,
The LMV431 REF pin has no ABS max voltage. This pin is a input current pin and so the ABS max is based on the maximum rated input current.
I would refer to this datasheet for the 2.495V variant of the device for be behavior of the pin.
Part Number: INA195 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27519 , LMV431 , , TIDA-01590 , INA260 I am designing some sort of a low current e-Fuse (10mA threshold) at 600Vdc application. We would like to provide a "test port TP" for service personnel to…
Hi Jaydeep,
For this schematic, LMV431 is being used instead of TL431. You can check it by clicking on the shunt symbol in WEBENCH schematic
LMV431 as a shunt regulator is behaving like an error amplifier of the feedback voltage, The divided…
Part Number: LMV431A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV431 , TLV803E , TLV431 , TLVH431
Hello E2E,
Our customer is using voltage reference LMV431A as a comparator. What is the cathode current if the voltage at ref. pin is< 1.24 V (means when cathode…
Hi Zhang,
The LMV431 spice model does not exist.
Please refer to the TLV431 model for a device with similar functionality for simulation

Hi Garrett,
thanks for the updated simulation.
Please if you can answer the other questions? Regarding feedback calculation, opamp ( INA214 or INA180A3) that i selected and if ok to change from 20kOhm to 10kOhm for LMV431?
Best Regards.
