Part Number: SN74HCS32-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA148-Q1 , TCAN1042-Q1 I inquire about the functional safety FIT(Application FIT Rate) value for the device below.
Standard is SIEMENSE SN29500-2.

Part Number: SN74HCS32 Dear Specialists,
My customer is considering sN74HCS32 and has a question.
I would be grateful if you could advise.

According to the datasheet P.10 load capacitance is able to drive until 70pF.
Could we understand this description…
There is no such automotive-qualified device. You have to combine multiple OR gates; 3× 3 inputs (SN74HCS4075-Q1), or 4× 2 inputs (SN74LVC32A-Q1, SN74HCS32-Q1, SN74AHC32Q-Q1, SN74LV32A-Q1).
1. Yes, this is expected. See [FAQ] How does a slow or floating input affect a CMOS device?
2. Insert a Schmitt-trigger buffer (e.g., SN74AUP1G17) into the slow signal line, or use a device with Schmitt-trigger inputs, e.g., SN74LVC1G97 or SN74HCS32. …
The arbitration logic circuits in your question and in the reference design are essentially the same. But note that the OR gates are used with slow input edges and must have Schmitt-trigger inputs, i.e., SN74HCS32.
There is no limit on the number of nodes…
CMOS inputs have a very high impedance; a series resistor would have no noticeable effect. You can connect the inputs directly to V CC or GND or a logic output.
Please note that the clamp current limit is specified for voltages outside the recommended…

This question comes up fairly often because the HCS logic family is specified only at 2V, 4.5V, and 6V.
The following min / max values are interpolated from the datasheet tables…
