FSI interface doesn't natively include standardized external PHY layer. However, it can be docked to external physical transceivers (e.g. RS-485,LVDS) if additional isolation is needed for long distance communication.

Hi Hideaki, quick answer is yes, point to point connection can be directly done. However, using LVDS ( TMDSFSIADAPEVM Daughter card | TI.com ) is highly recommended to clean up signal and keep synchronization.

Hi Sahar, I think I found the mistake in my setup. Please also check yours. I was missing connecting GND between both boards (J7.3 and J7.4 on AM243x EVM). After that, FSI loopback demo with 2 devices at 50MHz works OK.
