Part Number: TMP61 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP63 , TMP64
When upgrading existing NTC applications to leverage TMP6 technology benefits; for the TMP61, TMP63 or TMP64 Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) Thermistors, what are all the standard…
Part Number: TMP61-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP63-Q1 , TMP64-Q1 Dear BU,
My customer used TMP61-Q1 and they want to know how to change the Rbias. Does it settle down by 10Kohm or could customer change to other value.
Part Number: TMP64-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP63 Hi,
In the datasheet it is recommended to leave the top resistor at 47 kΩ, but it may make sense in some applications to do that anyway.
Could you provide the PW to change the value in…
Hi Jalen,
If customer change from TMP61 to TMP63 or TMP64, ideally the resistance changes versus temperature world be larger right?
Would it be another solution to help RnD improve the low temp worse differentiate issue?
Thanks.
Alex
Dear Vincent -
We cannot confirm this part number for you and TI does not make this device or any NTC - sorry about that. We do make temperature sensing PTCs which are silicon based, but not one in this effective resistance at 25C range. (we make 10k…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP112 , TMP116 , LMT01 , TMP235 , TMP61 , TMP63 , TMP64 What should I consider when choosing a sensor to measure ambient temperature?
Igor,
In this case, the TMP236 is the only part in the analog portfolio with that high of a gain and with positive slope, and covering the measurement range you need. Two suggestions to consider -
1. You could use diode(s) on the negative terminal…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP63-Q1 Is there a solution for over temperature protection using a comparator with external hysteresis? My automotive design requires the comparator output to toggle high when a temperature of 100C is reached. I would…
Background:
Effective March 30, 2023, the KTY81 and KTY82 series of silicon PTC temperature sensors has reached its end-of-life (EOL), as documented in Notice 202301036DN.
In this post, I will introduce the TI TMP61 silicon PTC temperature sensor…
