Part Number: TPIC6A595 I have an odd situation, where on a PCB is 4 of these TPIC6A595(TPIC), each output of the tpic is connected to a relay, which is then connected to 12v
PGND and LGND all connected to common gnd, the VCC goes to a daughter board…

Hi team,
Do we have new part ro replace TPIC6A595? They need TPIC6A595 to driver Relay due to inductive transient protection.
Now they also need the part including overvoltage protection.
They would like to know if TI…
Part Number: TPIC6A595 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPIC6B595 , , TPIC6C595 Hi Expert,
What is the difference between TPIC6A595, TPIC6B595 & TPIC6C595?
How to tell use which one in what situation?
Thanks.

Part Number: TPIC6A595 We have multiple occurrence of this Relay driver (TPIC6A595) failure.
EOS was observed in a common area after undergoing FA.
Would TI be willing to elaborate on the failure?
Which pin on the TPIC was over stressed? The EOS…
Hi Max,
The PGND and LGND of TPIC6A595 are internally connected. 1ohm resistor can be measured between PGND and LGND. So the device is not recommended to be used in such application. Please refer to the datasheet to connect the PGND and LGND together…

I'm looking for an IC that I provide with 3V 1A power and some kind of signal (from my Raspberry Pi) and it outputs that 3V 1A to one…
Hi ShreyasRao,
Sorry for delay reply due to customer in holiday.
I would like to show below pic to you. The B signal come from SN65HVS881 SOP pin and TPIC6A595 SEROUT pin. The A signal will arrive to FPGA . This is old project and MP a long time…
The TPIC6A595, TPIC6A596 and TPIC2603 are the only devices with this architecture that offer active short circuit protection. None of them are offered in a 16-pin SOIC package.
