Perry,
TPL9201 has it's own internal voltage regulator so a higher voltage supply is needed for the VIN pin.
TPL9201 has no serial output so chaining devices is not possible.
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL9201 The TPL9201 relay driver has a serial bus for programming it comprising the usual SCLK (serial_clock), MOSI (serial data) and NCS (chip_select_bar) pins.
We are trying to drive two of these chips as well as other…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL9201 Is it allowed to connect Thermal Pad to GND plane ?
In datasheet http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tpl9201.pdf , Page 8, Figure 1. Serial Communications , you shall add a new line which would describe an update of…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL9201 I'm using the TPL9201 relay driver, and they don't respond at all. I've got 12V input on pin 19, 5V out on pin 18 and 6.5V out on pin 13 (a no-connect). RST on pin 14 is floating, but with a pull up to 5V it goes…
I would love to know if anybody has successfully interfaced the TPL9201.
I have not been able to make it work.
I have a test program that drives ot from the PC parallel port, so I can play with the serial port waveforms.
With waveforms exactly as…

We are planning to
use the TPL9201 as a relay driver. If we are not using the 5V regulator or sync
features, can we leave SYN, ZVS,5VOUT,RST,RDELAY and EN1 disconnected?
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL9201 hi,
I am not able to narrow down to which TI part actually can cross to MAX4820ETP+. The end application is to driver 8 single-coil signal relay at 3.0V, 40/50mA,similar or smaller size than MAX4820ETP+. Any expert…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL9202 , TPL9201 Other than tradition, why do these interface chips come with seven channels, when PPI's and commercial interface boards provide groups of eight channels? Will there be an eight channel version of the TPL7407…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL9202 , TPL9201 Hallo,
Could TI provide me a realibility data for the ULN2803A (MTTF,FIT,usage temp, switchcycling, ect ).I would like to use the darlington array for sinking 250mA each channel for an extended period of…
FYI there is an interesting decoder diagram for a dichotomic search tree for morse code here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morse_code
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dichotomic_search
That would be an easy enough thing to code up as a state machine though…
