Part Number: TPS2042 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , TPS2041 I made a circuitry to power 2 usb port using TPS2042.
I try to test overcurrent output, by applying a load on the power bus of the usb port, in order to soure a current of 1A. but OC output…
What percentage of the boards are not working?
If there is not enough voltage at VBUS, there is likely an issue with the TPS2042 device, the TUSB2046B does not handle the VBUS directly.
Can you confirm if on the non-working boards does the TUSB2046B stay…

Hi Venkatesh,
The outputs of TPS2042 OCz likely require external pullups, please check.
Per USB spec, the upstream DP line should only be pulled high when an upstream port is connected.

Hi Roland,
USB hubs are "dumb" devices, so they have no capability to emulate DP/DM signaling from a USB host while unconnected. What kind of behavior does the device require to boot up? Is it just looking for VBUS to go high? Hubs can either…
