Part Number: TPS2054 Hi Team,
Can i use the part TPS2054BD for USB 3.0 as USB power switch, as USB 3.0 requires 0.9A current for each USB port, but TPS2054BD can only provide a maximum of 0.5A per output channel.
Please provide a remedy for above…
Part Number: TPS2054 Hello,
Could you provide me with the expected EOL for TPS2054BD ICs.
We are planning on integrating these chips in our design and wanted to know if there is a possibility of running into end of life issues in the near feature…
Hi Ivan,
So here's probably some better clues as to what is happening. Looking at your comment:
"(3) D+ pullup must not be activated (high: 3.3 V) while the device is detached from USB or power supply is not applied on VDD and VCCx.
VBUS of USB (5…
Part Number: CD54HCT4051 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2552 , TPS2044 , TPS2054 I need some technical advice. We are doing a test card for our internal testing. We have few requirements
We need to fan out same voltage with output of x8 ,one…
Bob,
According to a thermal camera, and my finger, the switches are quite cool (room temperature), so there is no temperature issue.
Vin is a clean 5V. The EN inputs are also clean 5V, since they are (at the moment, at least) pulled up to Vin and…
Hi, Sai loo,
You are correct. All those below parts share same UL report and the test module is TPS2044B, so the protection current is 5A. What's your concern about it?
TPS2041, TPS2042, TPS2043, TPS2044, TPS2045, TPS2046,
TPS2047, TPS2048, TPS2051…
You have to connect a 9.53K ohm resistor on USB_R1
The TPS2054 is an active high switch, you have to set PWRCTL_POL high.
All the passive components on the USB downstream ports and upstream port are internal on the device, you don’t need to populate…
There were 2 issues
1. We were testing for Full Speed USB, but the hardware was configured to use ULPI. So changing this resulted in getting the interrupts
2. We are using a TPS2044 QUAD POWER-DISTRIBUTION SWITCHES for the VBUS signal, but 2044 has…

When an output of the TPS2054B is disabled (ENx=L) what are the limitations on how that output pin may be driven by other devices? I want to provide power to a circuit in two ways…
Hello Shelton,
