Yes pulser in TX7516 generate HV pulses. When pulser generates the HV pulses, TR switch turns OFF and TR switch turns ON when pulser completes the HV pulses transmission. You can check HV pulses and received echo on oscilloscope.

We only have multiple channel devices. In terms of RX, the lowest number of channel is 8 in devices like AFE5809, AFE5808A.
In TX, the minimum number of channels is 16 in TX7516.
