Hi Chitharanjan,
Please note that all auto-bidirectional devices will have bias requirements for their supplies.
A good recommendation would be TXU0102 or TXU0202 (4 channel options are also available if needed) as UART signals are not auto-bidirectional…
The TXS is a passive switch with rising-edge accelerators. For unidirectional signals, a level shifter like the TXU0102 would be more robust, and its symmetrical outputs are easier to terminate, if needed.

Hello Jim,
in general your level-shifter circuitry seems to be OK. The component values of cause depend on the selected transistor. Please be aware that this kind of level shifter is inverting the signal. You could try your circuitry without the TMS3705…
Part Number: TXS0108E Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXU0102 , TXS0102 TXS01018 having a problem driving 68 ohms terminated line to CMOS logic low at the B outs. We are currently using TXS0108E to translate CMOS 3.0 V logic to CMOS 3.3 V logic and also…
The TCA9416 can be used for push/pull signals, but its outputs always are open drain. It can be used for all these applications as long as you do not need pull-down resistors and the speed is below 1 MHz.
Possible alternatives are TCA9800/1/2/3 for I…
Part Number: TXB0102 Hi Team, I am using TXB0102DCUR level shifter in our project but it is not working beyond 100Kbps, beyond 100kbps its rise and fall time increase and at 2.5Mbps we get Vcc voltage level output side, not a pulses. our direction is 5VccB…
Part Number: TXS0102 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXU0202 Hi, TI expert
A customer is looking for a UART level shifter.
The specifications of the A-port and B-port of TX0102, confirmed by the customer, are as follows.
However, we are inquiring about…
