TLV9154: Inconsistency in TLV9154/TLV9152/TLV9151 datasheet regarding EMIRR

Part Number: TLV9154

Hi,
in the latest (rev.D) datasheet of TLV915x there is some inconsistency in regards to EMIRR - there are two plots of EMIRR vs frequency and they differ significantly. One is Fig. 6-41 and the other Fig. 7-1. There are differences of about 10dB for approximately the whole frequency range.
Please clarify.

  • Andy,

You forgot the more important matter. Neither chart shows the reference signal level. It is usually 100mVp but it doesn't have to be. It does matter.

Section 7.1 References the document (snippet above) so that one should use the 100mVp reference. Figure 6-41 has no extra helpful information.

The difference could be different sample, different reference used, or some other reason. I suggest using the more pessimistic result.

I will make note of the inconsistency for future correction.

  • Ron,
yes, I am aware of the 100mVp reference because this is the standard value used by TI. I saw in some Analog Devices datasheet that they put the 100mV value on the chart so everything is clear.
    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Andy

  • Andy,

After more research, I have been told that figure 6-41 was for TLV915x. The other figure was from another device.

    So use figure 6-41.
