TLV2376: EMI rejection ratio (EMIRR)

Part Number: TLV2376
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2376, OPA376

Hello team,

Do we have EMIRR data for TLV2376?

My customer is considering to change device from OPA2376 to TLV2376 due to the current supply situation.

In this consideration, they are taking care of EMI test. Because in the past, a competitor op-amp dropped to EMI test.

I found the data in case of OPA376 on E2E. If we can provide and compare data between OPA2376 and TLV2376, it is very helpful for the customer.

  • Hi Shotaro,

shielding and external low pass filtering are the best cures against EMI. You cannot omit these measures only because some internal EMI filtering is present. This the more as the internal EMI filter only works for the highest frequencies and has no benefit for EMI frequencies being lower than the highest frequencies.

  • TLV2376 and OPA2376 are based on the same physical chip and the only difference between them are DC test limits.  For this reason, all AC parameters including EMIRR are the same. However, as Kai pointed out, internal EMI filter works only for frequency above 100MHz and therefore is not a substitute for good PCB layout, shielding, supply decoupling and low-pass filtering.
