LMH2110: no one-to-one linear relationship

Part Number: LMH2110

dear

There is no one-to-one linear relationship between the sampled RF signal and the actual output DC voltage, especially when the RF signal is only -10ddbm,

the output voltage is difficult to detect accurately.

any advise ?thanks in advance

  • There should be a 1-to-1 relationship if you are within the dynamic range of the detector.  An input power of -10 dBm is within the range.  Per figure 12 in the datasheet, the output voltage at -10 dBm should be around 1.25V.

Depending on the input signal, you may be seeing noise or ripple on the output that is making the DC voltage jump around.  You can add an RC low pass filter to help clean up the signal and smooth out the ripple.
