TRF37D73: output 1db

Part Number: TRF37D73

dear

TRF37D73Z is used for output amplification in 5.8ghz band of WiFI6 router, and the compression point of output 1dB is only 15dbm, is it because the output impedance is not well matched?  Need conjugate matching of output impedance?

any advise?thanks in advance

  • Hi Raymond,

Please note the part is internally matched to 50 Ohms. Also please keep in mind the datasheet spec is 16.5dBm at 2GHz. If you are indeed measuring performance at this frequency, the 1.5dBm drop makes me think you might be experiencing some parasitic or tolerance losses. If you share a schematic or layout I may be able to spot something.

    Best,
    Sam
