INA237: Ground Issue

Part Number: INA237

Hello team,

Did we use the same ground for Vbus (48V) and Vs (3.3V)?

Detail:  VBUS 48V supply is made using Ground (GNDISO) and VS supply 3.3V with ground (GND). And IN+, IN- is connected with power rails of 48V.

So, did INA237 is working with the above topology? Or, I will sort the ground internally.

  • Hello Naman,

Thank you for using the TI forum. The INA237 only has one pin for GND, so both the VBUS and VS pins need to be at a voltage with respect to that ground.  If the VBUS 48V GND is different, then the INA will not know the correct voltage, as voltages are a potential difference between two points.
