LF147JAN: Difference between LF147 and LF147JAN

Part Number: LF147JAN
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LF147

Replacing the LF147 (going obsolete) with the LF147JAN.  Both parts seem to have identical thermal and structural characteristics.  Both are rated from -55 to 125C.  When asked

I was told the JAN part was military grade. Is the LF147 not military even through it has the same temperature range.  Even most of the electrical characteristics seem the same (couldn't

confirm all of them).  what is different?

  • Hey Kerry,

They should perform similarly. The JAN device has a specific test procedure for the military rating which is outlined in the electrical characteristics table.

Each spec has a min and max value and a subgroup which it was tested. Additionally the device undergoes burn-in and has lot traceability which is necessary for military applications.

    Best,
    Jerry
